SGS OPENS VIETNAM'S FIRST COMMERCIAL BIO SAFETY LEVEL 2 FOOD LABORATORY
SGS Executive Vice President for Agriculture Food and Life, Olivier Coppey today opened a brand new state-of-the-art custom-built food testing and analysis laboratory in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. He was joined at the official opening by Truong Dinh Ho, Secretary General, VASEP, Othmar Hardegger, Consul General, Consulate General of Switzerland, Dennis Yang, Chief Operating Officer, SGS East Asia, and Jason Han, Managing Director, SGS Vietnam.
Guests were treated to an introduction to SGS’s food services and laboratories, which reach across the entire Health & Nutrition value chain, followed by a tour of the new facility.
“SGS is committed to the growth of the Agri-Food industry in Vietnam, and we are proud to be part of Vietnam’s success story,” said Olivier Coppey. “I would like to say a special thank you to all those involved in this new laboratory.”
Vietnam’s first commercial bio safety level 2 laboratory, SGS’s new facility will help to meet the country’s fast growing demand for food analyses, and at the same time increase food safety and consumer protection.
